The Human Genome Project
The Human Genome Project is an international collaboration of
scientists to determine the sequence of all of the nucleotide base
pairs in the human genome. An important aspect of the project is
to make the information widely available. A human genome database
is now available which is considered to be a "working draft",
further work continues on improving sequencing technology, and
developing technology for functional genomics.
