  • Richard Zinn co-author of “Influence of methionine supplementation of growing diets enriched with lysine on feedlot performance and characteristics of digestion in Holstein steer calves” in Asian-Australas J Anim Sci and “Effect of oil supplementation extracted from nontoxic purging nut (Jatropha curcas L) on carcass traits, tissue composition, muscle CLA concentration, and visceral mass of feedlot lambs” in Austral J Vet Sci

OUTREACH AND TRAVEL

  • Richard Blatchford gave a talk and demo on egg anatomy and candling to several poultry 4-H groups in Placerville, CA and also presented on raising backyard chickens and staffed an informational booth at the UC Master Gardeners of Placer County's 2nd Annual Garden Faire in Auburn, CA
  • Frank Mitloehner spoke at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Nutrition Discovery Symposium: Beef’s Role in a Healthy Sustainable Diet
  • Alison Van Eenennaam gave two presentations: “Will gene editing face the same fate as genetic engineering? The #scicomm challenge” to the AgriBio staff and students at Bundoora, Vic, Australia and “Making complex simple” Herd ’17 Dairy Conference, Bendigo, Vic, Australia AND “The #SciComm Challenge Facing Agriculture” Hunter College of the City University of New York AND participating in question and answer panels following screenings of the upcoming documentary movie “Food Evolution” in New York & at the Cleveland International Film Festival
