Dr. W. David Wilson joined the faculty at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981, where he is currently a Professor in Medicine and Epidemiology. In 1995 Dr. Wilson was appointed as Director for California Center for Equine Health and Performance. He has been involved in curriculum development and has held many administrative committee appointments. He is also currently serving as the senior clinician for the hospital's Equine Field Service Section. Dr. Wilson's research interests include the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections in horses and foals, the characteristics and effectiveness of antibacterial drugs in horses and neonatal foals, adrenal function in horses, respiratory tract infections, and preventive medicine.

Dr. Robert Bray is a Professor of Animal and Veterinary Science and Director of the Equine Outreach Program at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is actively involved in research on equine nutrition, has published extensively and has given lectures across the country. He also serves as an equine nutrition consultant and advisor for formulating feeding programs. Dr. Bray is currently completing a practical "hands-on" equine nutrition book designed for the horse owner.

Dr. Sue McDonnell received her MS in Psychology and her Ph.D. in Reproductive Physiology and Behavior. She is now head of the Equine Behavior Program at the New Bolton Center, Section of Reproductive Studies, University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Renee Golenz received her DVM at Ohio State University. She has worked in an equine ambulatory practice and race track practice, and completed a 3 year residency program at the University of California, Davis. She opened the North Valley Equine Veterinary Service in 1994, and continues to work in the Davis area.

Mr. Kirk Adkins earned his MS in Animal Science at the University of California, Davis. He has been the farrier at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, UC Davis, since 1986. He is a member of the American Farrier's Association and is a Certified Journeyman.

Dr. Craig London, DVM is co-owner of the Rock Creek Pack Station in the Southeastern Sierra Nevada. He practices veterinary medicine in Bishop and has taught many University Extension courses on veterinary care and wilderness horsepacking.

Dr. Nick Faber is a resident at the University of California Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. He recently completed a 3-year residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine: Equine Emphasis, and is currently in his first year of residency in Veterinary Ophthalmology.
