The Farrier workshop will consist of two sections: Lecture and wet lab.
The lecture portion will include the following topics:
- Anatomy and physiology of the foot.
- Biomechanics and common lamenesses
- Recognition of shoeing and conformation faults that predispose injuries
- Trimming and shoeing for proper balance.

| The wet lab will include limb dissections, conformation evaluation for
shoeing and live shoeing demonstration. There will also be a discussion and demonstration
of different shoe construction, materials and properties. |
