General Information
The SEVENTEENTH ANNUAL HORSE DAY SYMPOSIUM will
be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 12 - 13th, 2002. Once again we are
pleased to offer an exciting and excellent program for your educational
enjoyment. The main program will be held in the Main Theater, which is
located on Hutchison Drive on the east side of the UC Davis campus.
Parking is available in Lots 5A and 5 at the corner of A Street and Old
Davis Road and in Lot 10 on the corner of First and A Streets. There is no
charge for parking. On-site registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. Please be
aware that this program may be too technical for people under age 12.
Registration fee includes all course materials and
break refreshments. Pre-registration (mail-in) is $25.00 ($20.00 ea. for a
group of 10 or more) for the Horse Day, Oct. 12, and $50 or $150 for the
Farrier Workshop on Oct 13. A box lunch is available for $6.75 on
Saturday.
Deadline for postmarked pre-registration is October 1, 2002. NO refunds
will be given after October 8, 2002. Registration at the door is
$30.00. Lunch will not be available for purchase at the door.

DIRECTIONS: From 1-80 traveling west (from Sacramento), take the
UC Davis exit. At the first stop sign turn right onto Old Davis Road. From
I-80 traveling east (from San Francisco), take the UC Davis exit. At the
first stop sign turn left under the overpass onto Old Davis Road. At the
second stop sign turn right (still on Old Davis Road). Parking Lot 5 will
be on your right at the junction of Old Davis Road and A Street. Walk down
A Street, turn left on Hutchison. The Main Theater will be on your left
Demonstration or Tour
Following the lecture program, a demonstration on
Driving will be presented at the Animal Science Horse Barn Arena. Buses to
the arena will be available, or you may drive and park in either lot 46 or
47 (see map).
Alternatively, a tour is available of the Veterinary
Medicine Teaching Hospital (VMTH). There is no charge for this tour, but
pre-registration is required and space is limited to the first 50 people.
