There is no parking charge. On-site registration will be-gin at 7:15 am. Please be aware that this pro-gram may be too technical for people under age 12.

Pre-registration is conducted by mail only. The cost is $25 ($20 each for a group of 10 or more) for Horse Day, October 4th. Horse Day pre-registrants may order a box lunch for $8.95; lunch will not be available for purchase at the door. Registration at the door will be $30. The cost for the Farrier Workshop on October 5th is $150 for both the lecture and wet lab or $50 for the lecture only. Registration fees include refreshments and all course materials.

The deadline for postmarked pre-registration forms is September 19th, 2008. No refunds will be issued after September 30, 2008.

 Demonstration or Tour

Following the lecture program on October 4th, the San Joaquin Valley Rangers Cowboy Mounted Shooting group will put on an action packed explanation and demonstration of this up and coming equestrian competition Cowboy Mounted shooting is a sport that combines elements of old-time Wild West Show exhibition, along with the elements of barrel racing, pole bending, reining, and many other equestrian skills; all done while using two .45 caliber single action revolvers, loaded with 5 rounds each of black powder blanks to shoot ten balloon targets set in a special random pattern or Old West type scenario. This will be presented at the Animal Science Horse Barn Arena. Alternatively, a tour of the VMTH is available. There is no additional charge, but pre-registration is required and space is limited to the first 50 people. A map and driving directions are available online and will also be provided the day of the event. Free parking is available at both locations

More information coming in September.
