Profile
- Hirofumi is a visiting post-doctoral scientist sponsored by Ricoh
Kyosan, Inc. Hirofumi has played a key role in development of the
immunocastration technology. In addition, Hirofumi's basic studies,
which characterized the mechanism of estrogen-induced augmentation
of gonadotrope responsiveness, serve as the basis for many of our
ongoing projects.
Hirofumi's current research is examining the effect of
photoperiod and melatonin on GnRH receptor synthesis and subcellular
location. In addition, Hirofumi is the research leader in our
studies designed to determine the physiological basis for genetic
difference in ovulation rate in sheep.
