Project:
Title: In-vitro Effects on Sertoli Cell Proliferation

Description:
Sertoli cells play a critical role in sperm production. These cells, located within the seminiferous tubules of the testis, are the main support system for germ cells during spermatogenesis. Sertoli cells limit the number (species dependent) of germ cells that can be maintained, so the number of Sertoli cells can be a limiting factor in the quantity of sperm produced.

My research will explore the in-vitro effects thyroid hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, testosterone, and estrogen on Sertoli cell proliferation.
