The department rolled out the carpet for the 2000
Annual Meeting of the Western Section of the American Society of
Animal Science. Held on campus from June 21 to 23, it featured a
beef industry symposium as well as oral and poster presentations
describing scientific studies on behavior, genetics, nutrition and
physiology. A career forum for graduate students provided
information and advice on successfully pursuing a career in the
animal sciences and animal industries. Social events kept spouses
and children busy. Extension Specialist Jim
Oltjen served as chair of the organizing committee. |
