Research

During my postdoctoral training at UC Davis I will focus on the hormonal regulation of mammary gland development and lactation, in particular on the role of the prolactin receptor, both at the tissue level and at the genetic level.
My PhD thesis work was part of the Dutch Milk Genomics Initiative, and aimed at the identification of genes involved in milk-fat composition.
In general, my research interests are mammary gland development and lactation, milk synthesis and secretion, pathway analysis, functional and physiological genomics.
