Research Interest

My research and teaching interests include improving the livelihoods and food security of the rural poor through intervention strategies for improving animal health and production in developing countries and improving small-scale poultry production systems. My research interests also include reducing wildlife-livestock conflicts, and wildlife conservation. I have managed research and extension projects on village poultry health and production in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and Nepal. I have investigated intervention strategies of training women farmers, extension agents, village leaders, and primary school children.
