Animal Science Career Symposium

Want to know what you can do with a degree in Animal Science? Come talk to distinguished ANS alumni about their career paths working in research, zoos, educational institutions, and more.

The Career Symposium is held during the winter quarter, and is deigned to introduce our students to job opportunities after graduation, and develop career networking and communication skills. There is a main interview panel for some of our alumni to answer generalized questions. Students then break into small groups and rotate through a series of "mini panels" of one or two alumni, sorted by  area of interest. One hour is allotted at the end of the event to speak with alumni and recruiters from various animal-related organizations one on one.

Event space is always limited, so early applicants are given priority. There is a fee for the Career Symposium of $20. If this fee prevents you from be able to attend, please let us know. Scholarships are always available.
