Tickets for adults are $15 per person and for children 17 and under are free. Participants may register at the event for the same price $15 for adults.  Free for 17 and under

Goat owners, veterinarians, students, and 4-H and FFA goat-project youths from throughout California will gather Saturday, February 7, 2015, in UC Davis Conference Center.

Morning speakers will address a variety of goat health and management topics. The veterinarians and animal science experts also will provide updates on current goat research and other issues important to dairy, meat, fiber and companion-goat owners.

The afternoon will feature demonstrations and illustrated presentations on breeding soundness exam in the buck,  ultrasound for pregnancy detection, understanding how milk is made, DHIA orientation to online tester training, using DHI records in your herd, and herd health & meat & milk residue avoidance.

The event, which will run from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., is sponsored by the UC Davis Department of Animal Science, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and the California Dairy Herd Improvement Association.
