NEWS & EVENTS

  • The Spring 2019 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 16th. If you would like to be part of the class picture, assemble at 12:15pm on the NORTH side of Meyer Hall. Thanks to Dr. Hovey, for organizing the photo and congratulations graduates!
  • Emily Aston (Zhou Lab) was awarded the NIFA Postdoctoral Fellowship and was accepted to Leaders for the Future cohort of 2019 -2020 at UC Davis. Congratulations!

RESEARCH

  • Amy McLean published “A review of the appropriate nutrition welfare criteria of dairy donkeys: nutritional requirements, farm management requirements and animal-based indicators” in Animals.

OUTREACH & TRAVEL

  • Amy McLean and Jan Roser lead the 2019 UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education Horsepacking Adventure—Mustangs: A living legacy trip. Thirty students from all over the U.S. attended the four day course to learn more about wild horse populations, physiology, behavior management and current policies in the Pizona area of the Inyo National Forest.
