- Ed DePeters co-author of “Impacts of feeding lipid supplements high in palmitic acid or stearic acid on performance of lactating dairy cows” in J. Applied Animal Research and “Potential of Sorghum as an Alternative to Corn Forage” in Am J Plant Sciences
- Huaijun Zhou received a France-Berkeley Fund Award
OUTREACH AND TRAVEL
- Ermias Kebreab facilitated & led discussion for the 2016 Animal Production Stakeholder Listening Sessions for the Reducing Environmental Impacts of Animal Production topic area for USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)
- Juan Medrano has been in Medellin, Colombia participating in Board Meetings of Zamorano University
- Frank Mitloehner participated in Ecosystem Inception Meeting organized by the Global Dairy Platform held in Chicago and he met earlier in the week with President Sun from North West Agriculture and Forestry University
- Sheep team Kelly Braxton-Simonson, Anna Haller, Jocelyn Pobst, Hannah Van Duzer, Emily Shifflett, Fiona Benjamin, Kelsi Snook, Rebecca Barnett shepherded the Aggie Classic Lamb sale and 2 yearling dorsets at the Cloverdale Ram sale!
- Russ Hovey and Grace Berryhill hosted a lactation physiology workshop as part of the Gordon Research Conference on Mammary Gland Biology in Il Ciocco, Italy
